ILMA-USA New England Fundraising Dinner – Supporting Healthcare in Lebanon
On January 25th, ILMA-USA New England hosted a successful fundraising dinner in support of the ILMA Foundation’s campaign to strengthen Lebanon’s healthcare system. The evening featured a distinguished program, including a welcome address by Dr. Georgina Noueime-Aoun, an introduction to ILMA New England by Dr. Samer Nasser, and a recognition ceremony honoring distinguished ILMA New England members Dr. Adel El Boueiz, Dr. Wissam Deeb, Dr. Aline Herlopian, Dr. Talal El Zarif, and Dr. Rachid Akiki for their contributions.
The event also featured a keynote speech by Dr. Usama Hamdan, titled The Humanization of Healthcare: Challenges and Rewards of Medical Volunteering, where he shared insights from his work and experiences with the Global Smiles Foundation. This was followed by a musical performance by Ms. Layan Hawila, and the night concluded with a raffle of prizes generously offered by Lebanese businesses in the New England area.
