Meeting with Dr. Firras Abiad

I had the pleasure to meet with the minister of health Dr. Firras Abiad. It was an opportunity to learn about the tremendous work of the ministry of health and their ability to operate in a near collapsed system.

While the ministry budget remains in Lebanese currency, it left them without choice to seek outside funding from international organizations.

One of the impressive work of the ministry is the development of Lebanon National Health Strategy: Vision 2030,  https://www.moph.gov.lb/en/Pages/9/67044/

On July 26th, the ministry launched the 2023-2028 national cancer plan https://www.moph.gov.lb/DynamicPages/download_file/6524

The most essential service ILMA can provide to the health ministry is sharing our international expertise in public health, educational conferences and medical partnerships.
