Postdoctoral Research : ILMA-KU for the 2023-2024

We are happy to share our successful hiring of four Lebanese medical graduates for the 2023-2024 KU/ILMAUSA postdoc research fellow program.
We are very thankful to the ILMA-KS members and to many from the Lebanese community in Wichita who helped us raise 170k to fund this program.

Our new ILMA-KU postdoc fellows:

Achkar Ryan, MD: Hemonc fellow at the Cancer Center of Kansas

Kassem Jad, MD: Hemonc fellow at the Cancer Center of Kansas

Merheb Diala,MD: GI fellow with Kansas Gastroenterology

Nasr Janane, MD: internal medicine/GI fellow with the KU Internal Medicine program

ILMAUSA’s Response to Lebanon’s Crisis: How You Can Help

ILMAUSA is deeply concerned about the ongoing crisis in Lebanon and is committed to supporting the country during these challenging times. To address urgent and future needs, the ILMAUSA National Board has formed a crisis unit focusing on three key areas: a Resource Team to manage medication and supply requests, a Human Resources Team offering virtual support through telehealth services, and an Educational Committee providing essential training for crisis response. ILMA USA met with the Lebanese Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Abiad, to discuss the urgent medical needs in Lebanon due to the ongoing crisis. ILMA USA is committed to supporting relief efforts by providing critical medical supplies and expanding healthcare capacity.
